Bookbinding Projects Log

A single post to collect all my bookbinding projects.

Bookbinding Projects Log

Introduction

I’ve been binding books on and off for a little under two years now. I’ve watched an insane number of tutorials and tried out plenty of variations. I’ve done leather, cloth, and paper covers. I’ve done miniature books, full-sized books, and paperback to leather bound conversions. I’ve done curved spines, oxford spines, floating spines, and false bands. I’ve designed and cut my own modern cover art, made 1800s-style 3/4 leather covers, and even hand marbled my own endpapers.

It’s been a lot of fun, and I honestly feel like I still haven’t even scratched the surface. There are an endless amount of techniques to learn and master, and centuries worth of knowledge to absorb.
