I have an entire post on how I made the wooden body for this handplane.

This is actually Robbie’s handplane, but it’s worth including as a contrast to my wartime #4.
Stanley #4, Type 17, 1942-1945
- Type 17, 1942-1945
- BB Trademark, 1935-now
- Notes: Doesn’t have a frog adjustment, Hard rubber knob, Hate how the handle feels
Stanley #3, Type 13, 1925-1928
- Type 13, 1925-1928
- Y Trademark, 1920-1921
- These typings seem correct, so it’s an older blade on a “newer” body
